Originally from Houston, Humza Jilani is a senior at Harvard University. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, he majors in Social Studies with minors in Islamic Studies and Arabic. His research focuses on the effect of traditional and digital media on ethnic polarization in the United States and India. Passionate about technology and global justice, Humza has interned for Foreign Policy Magazine in Washington, D.C., for rural development start-up UpTrade in Karachi, Pakistan, and for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in London. As a Marshall Scholar, Humza will read for an MPhil in International Relations at the University of Oxford.
